The sun shone on the May Fair this year and The Old Vic did a roaring trade on the forecourt, making a record profit of £770.00 towards Victoria Rooms’ funds. The Management Committee are most grateful to everyone who supported our village hall – all our customers, our hardworking bar staff and to our suppliers, Exmoor Ales, Milverton Stores and Sheppy’s Cider. Our new gazebo was put to good use on its first outing. Thanks also go to Chris Field and her team for the wonderful refreshments on offer in the Reading Room. These, too, made an excellent profit of £440.00 which is a great result.
Talking of gazebos, now that summer is on its way, these are available to hire if you are holding an outside event and need some shelter from the heat of the sun. The two smaller gazebos and new large gazebo are all available to hire at very reasonable cost. If you are interested, please telephone Philip on 400609 for more details.
Tickets for the JW3 concert on 9th September will go on sale from the middle of July. Tickets are priced at £7.00 each and will be available from Milverton Stores or by contacting Trish on 400639. This promises to be a very good evening and is part of Milverton’s involvement in the 10 Parishes Festival.
The Management Committee is still looking for more people to join our fundraising committee and, in particular, a co-ordinator to oversee future events. If you feel you can help, please contact Philip on 400609.
