    • All are welcome, we are not a secret society and you don’t have to play or sing so just enjoy a friendly and relaxed evening on the first Friday of every month. Whether you would like to play, sing or just listen you will enjoy a wonderful range of musical talent, which will leave you wanting more. We have been running now for over twenty years and are truly the Premier acoustic performance venue in the West Country.

It all started in a back room at the Globe Inn Milverton five friends played music every Wednesday evening.  As the popularity of the sessions grew they decided that a more structured outlet for both their musical talents and those of fellow musicians in the area was needed. To avoid the ‘folk’ ‘jazz’ or ‘blues’ label it was decided to form an acoustic music club, and because the Globe didn’t have the space, the club began in the upper room at the White Hart, in 1996 on the first Friday of the month, six months later we moved to a bigger venue at the back of the pub.

In 1998 after two very successful years we moved from the White Hart to the Victoria Rooms and regularly attract an audience of around 80 for our Friday Nights.

On the club sessions, singers and audience are asked to bring their favourite tipple but we always have a bar on guest nights

To cover the cost of the hall etc we charge a nominal £3.00 entrance.

Our special guest nights feature what can only be described as a who’s who of national and international acoustic music. Many of our guests are normally only be seen at much larger venues. For example Ralph McTell played the previous night at the Royal Albert hall before playing for us on the Friday.
